Percussion
Josh is a percussionist and educator currently based in Las Vegas, NV. Originally from the Houston, Texas area, he holds a Bachelors in Music Education degree from McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana where he studied with Dr. Lonny Benoit. He was a member of the 2016 Louisiana Stars Drum and Bugle Corps Front Ensemble, being a part of DCI’s Most Improved Corps that season. He currently is a Graduate Assistant and completing a Masters in Percussion Performance degree at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas under Dr. Dean Gronemeier and Dr. Timothy Jones.
Josh is currently on staff with Foothill High School in Henderson, NV where he instructs both the front ensemble and drumline. He has taught at several middle school and high schools throughout Texas and Louisiana in both outdoor and indoor marching activities as well as private lesson positions in classical percussion and drumset. He holds percussion teaching positions with the Southern Nevada Homeschool of Performing Arts and the David Thomas School of Music.
Josh has performed with many different types of ensembles and bands in Louisiana and Nevada. He performs professionally in the Las Vegas area for organizations such as the Nevada Conservatory Theatre, Destinations by Design, and UNLV.
